Rosanna Davison has paid tribute to Hugh Hefner after his death at age 91.

The former Miss World met the 'Playboy' founder shortly after she posed nude for the German edition of the magazine.

Hefner invited her to the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, where she had dinner with him and wife Crystal Harris (30).

"I had the pleasure of meeting him. I got a very nice invite to visit him at the Playboy Mansion in 2013 and he was very welcoming," she said.

"He came down and chatted to me, he was obviously very frail but still had a cheeky glint in his eye."

Speaking at the launch of the ISPCA's #GiveThemAVoice campaign for World Animal Week, she said she took a signed copy of her 'Playboy' shoot for Hefner to admire.

She said his life would be looked on in years to come as a peculiar story.

"Obviously rest in peace and all that, but [he] wasn't one for me," she said.
