DOTING grandfather Bertie Ahern was on hand to celebrate the christening of his new grandchild, baby Gia, over the weekend.
The former Taoiseach may admittedly not have been the most stylishly dressed among the party that came out in force to attend the baptism of little Gia Byrne – who was born last October – at St Sylvester's Church in Malahide, Dublin.
Georgina and Nicky Byrne cut a dash with their very trendy twins, Rocco and Jay (6).
Racehorse owner and former athlete David Keoghan wore a tweed jacket as he arrived with his wife Cecelia Ahern, little Sonny (1) and daughter Robin (3).
Glamorous grannies Miriam Ahern and Yvonne Byrne also turned heads at the christening.
Meanwhile, it emerged yesterday that Bertie is being investigated by the Garda Fraud Squad for "fraudulent" expense claims.
Gardai confirmed an investigation is under way into payments received by the former Fianna Fail leader.
Mr Ahern claimed he did not "have a clue" an investigation was under way and insisted he never claimed any expense to which he was not entitled.
