Good hair day Salon chain in a class of its own
Model Gabriela shows off her elaborate beehive hairstyle at the opening of the new Peter Mark hairdressing College in Dublin yesterday.
The salon and training facility, which is on South William Street in the city's old markets area, used to be home to a bank.
The state-of-the-art training school provides a colourfully stylish and vibrant environment in which Peter Marks' staff will be able to learn new skills, in either management or styling.
Set up by Peter and Mark Keaveney in 1961, with the first outlet on Grafton Street in Dublin, the popular salon chain now has 71 stores throughout Ireland.
The company is well known for its sponsorship of graduate fashion shows and its involvement in related design and style arenas.
The new college aims to provide an inspirational surrounding for budding stylists and clients alike.
