A fund-raising event for the Ronald McDonald House in Crumlin will be held at Druids Glen Golf Club on Friday, August 29, and the organisers are looking for players, teams and tee sponsors. The House allows parents of children who are patients in Crumlin Hospital to stay overnight.

Tee times run from 9.00am to noon and there will be an international flavour with a Ryder Cup-style event in which Ireland will play a US team, representing the original Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia.

Entry costs €250 for a team of two. This includes steak dinner, dessert and music. The presentation of prizes will take place in Doheny & Nesbitts pub in Dublin, with a music session.

A further €250 (or just €250 if you can't make it to play, will allow you or your company to sponsor a tee box). It is hoped to raise €10,000, half for Crumlin and half for Philadelphia which is sending over the US contingent.
