Gardaí seized a total of €550,000 worth of drugs and cash in Tipperary yesterday.
Two men aged 45 and 22 were arrested after gardaí attempted to flag down their van yesterday afternoon in Ballinure.
The van failed to stop and and two packages with a street value of €150,000 of ecstasy tablets worth were thrown from the vehicle into a nearby field, gardaí report.
A further €400,000 worth of cannabis herb was later discovered at residential properties in the Cashel and Killenaule areas, as well as €21,000 in cash.
The two men are currently detained at Thurles Garda Station and investigations are ongoing.
