GARDAI were last night trying to contact the family of a Polish man who died after he was struck by a car in Dun Laoghaire yesterday.
At about 2.15pm, a man in his 30s was killed when he was struck by a car on Kill Avenue.
The road from the Kill Lane/Baker's Corner junction to Mounttown Road was closed for a time as gardai carried out a forensic examination.
Fire and ambulance services also attended the scene.
Gardai at Kill O'Grange are investigating the cause of the accident.
