Gardai search for Kennedy taxi man

GARDAI have renewed their appeal for information about a fatal accident in Cork two weeks ago.

Regina Kennedy, 37, died after being struck by a vehicle as she walked near Carr's Hill in Douglas around 3am on November 14 last. Gardai have now appealed for any taxi or hackney driver who may have picked up a female passenger in the Patrick's Street area between 1.30am and 2.15am on November 14 to contact them.

Anyone with information is asked to contact their local garda station or the Garda Confidential Line at (1800) 666111.

Oscar nominee to open exhibition

Oscar-nominated Hollywood director Jimmy T Murakami will open Moments, a joint exhibition by artists Nuala Holloway and Jakki Moore at the Sol Art Gallery, Dawson St, Dublin, between December 2-9 from 10am to 6pm everyday.

Peter Murray, Director of the Crawford College of Art, Cork noted that Nuala Holloway was "an artist of exceptional talent".

Owners of her paintings are an eclectic group ranging from US President Barack Obama to John Waters and Eoghan Harris.

Jakki Moore specialises in painting on ahimsa silk and has exhibited her work as far away as Istanbul.
