Gardai probe stabbing of man (43) in popular tourist area of Dublin

GARDAI are investigating the stabbing of a man beside St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin this evening.

The incident occurred at around 6pm in St Patrick's Park, located beside the popular tourist attraction.

A man is understood to have slashed the victim with a blade.

The injured man was taken to St James' Hospital where he is described as being in a stable condition.

No arrests have been made and a garda investigation is ongoing.
