Gardai prepare DPP file over Trident Hotel death
The Gardaí are preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions following a tragic death in a Cork seaside hotel.
An inquest has heard that this move follows the death of a 35-year-old woman from carbon monoxide poisoning in Kinsale earlier this year.
Inspector Brendan Fogarty said the investigation into the death of Limerick woman Miriam Reidy, at the Trident Hotel on January 9, was ongoing.
He said it was a technical and complex investigation.
Inspector Fogarty applied for an adjournment to allow the DPP to consider the file and decide whether to bring any charges.
Frank O’Connell, the coroner for West Cork, adjourned the matter until December 6.
