Gardai investigating death of Polish national in Cork
GARDAÍ are investigating the cause of death of Polish national at house in West Cork last night.
The 43-year-old man was discovered by his brother shortly before 9pm on Tuesday night at a house on Castle Street, Dunmanway, Co Cork.
He found the body of his sibling in an upstairs bedroom of the house.
Gardaí were called to the scene and decided to seal off the property as a precaution as they carried out their enquiries.
They interviewed a number of other people, all foreign nationals, who were living in the house with the dead man.
They have been able to identify the exact time when the man was last seen alive.
The body was removed from the scene in the early hours of yesterday morning and taken to Cork University Hospital.
Investigators will later attend a post mortem examination by the Assitant State Pathologist Margaret Bolster.
Gardaí have said that they initially treated the death as suspicious but are now keeping an open mind regarding the cause of the death.
