Gardai investigating after man (70) dies in Monaghan car crash

GARDAI are investigating after a man died in a a single vehicle car crash at Coolcollid, Glaslough, County Monaghan.

The collision occurred between 6pm and 5am on July 4 and a man (70) suffered fatal injuries when the vehicle he was driving left the road.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where a post mortem will be conducted. 

The road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
