Gardai investigate neglect claim

A GARDA probe is underway into a couple suspected of child neglect in the south-east.

A number of houses were searched and a couple were arrested on Thursday, September 15. They were later released without charge.

Ikea recall over broken glass fears

furniture giant Ikea has been forced to recall a wardrobe amid fears that its faulty sliding mirror door may fall and shatter.

Around 250 of the affected Fenstad mirror doors were purchased at its Dublin branch and more than 19,000 were sold throughout the UK. Customers can contact Ikea on 1890 876 707.

Top hotel secures protest injunction

A five-star hotel has secured a High Court injunction stopping protesters from blocking entrances and causing disruption near the hotel.

The court heard that a local community group in Mayo had organised a protest amid claims Ashford Castle has decided to close off a public right-of-way through the estate.
