Gardai hunt two men after armed raid on cash van

GARDAI are investigating a cash-in-transit raid in Co Meath.

At approximately 2pm today, two men, armed with an imitation firearm, threatened and held up a security guard outside a service station on Fairyhouse Road.

They took a quantity of chase and left the scene in a silver Mazda car.

The car was found abandoned a short distance away in Cairn Court, and the imitation firearm was found inside.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

Investigating Gardai are appealing for information and in particular any sightings of a silver coloured Mazda Premacy car (partial registration "00 SO”) with two men travelling in it in the vicinity of Ratoath Village shortly before 2pm this afternoon.
