Gardai hunt dealer who sold fatal drug cocktail
GARDAI have launched an investigation into the death of a young man who is believed to have consumed a lethal cocktail of drugs.
The young man's body was discovered at a house in Roundwood, Co Wicklow, last week.
Gardai have launched a manhunt for the dealer and carried out a search of a property at the weekend.
The dealer who sold the lethal combination of ecstasy and cannabis is believed to be from north Co Wicklow.
Gardai believe the drugs were mixed prior to the sale and say the 19-year-old died after consuming the mixture of drugs last Thursday. A friend of the deceased, who is also suspected of consuming the cocktail, remains in a serious condition in hospital.
The teenager's death has been brought to the attention of the Garda National Drugs Unit.
It follows the recent deaths of seven young people in Northern Ireland who took high-strength ecstasy tablets also known as 'PMA' tablets.
