Gardai arrest two in Dean Johnson murder probe

TWO men were arrested today by Gardai investigating the murder of Dean Johnson in Clondalkin, Dublin, last May.

The men, aged 22 and 26 were arrested in the Dublin area and are being detained in Lucan and Ronanstown Garda Stations.

They are the first people to be arrested in relation to the shooting dead of Mr Johnson (20) in Moorfield Avenue, Clondalkin.

Mr Johnson had a history of assault and disorder and is known to have stabbed two men with broken bottles in pubs.

It is believed he may have been killed because of his chronic problem of getting into fights with people.
