Gardai arrest three men after botched robbery at Galway post office

GARDAI - investigating an attempted robbery at post office in Creggs, Galway on Monday – have arrested three men.

Two men wearing masks entered the post office, which includes a shop, and threatened staff.

One of the men was armed with what is believed to be a shotgun.

Nothing was taken during the incident and the men fled the scene in a black SUV in the direction of the Glenamaddy Road.

No shots were fired and nobody was physically injured during the incident.

Yesterday gardaí arrested three men in their 30s in the Ballyhaigue area of Galway.

Two of the men are detained at Ballinasloe Garda Station and one man is detained at Galway Garda Station.
