Gardai appeal for witnesses to post office robbery

Gardai are seeking a man who robbed a post office using a handgun.

The robbery occurred at Kilmoganny Post Office, Co Kilkenny, last night at 5.30pm.

A man threatened a cashier with a handgun and demanded money before escaping on foot with a quantity of cash.

The man was wearing blue jeans, a hooded top and had a scarf concealing his face.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who were in the Kilmoganny area between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on the 23rd December 2013.
