Gardai appeal for witnesses after fatal road accident in Thurles

GARDAI are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Thurles, Co Tipperary this morning.



At approximately 9.50am a female cyclist, aged in her 70s, was fatally injured in a collision involving a bus at Kickham St.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Limerick for a post mortem examination.

There were no passengers travelling on the bus when the collision occurred.

Forensic collision investigators attended the scene and the street has since re-opened to traffic.
