Garda station evacuated after suspect device found

A GARDA station had to be evacuated after a suspect device was discovered outside its premises.

It’s understood the device was discovered at the gate outside Ronanstown garda station in Clondalkin, Co Dublin at 11.50am this morning.

A source told Independent.ie that the device had “wires and batteries” and was made to look like a bomb, but was “amateur-looking”.

A garda spokesman said an Army Bomb Disposal Team was en route to the station this afternoon and an investigation is ongoing
