Gardaí seize more than €5m worth of cannabis and cocaine in Co Meath

Gardaí have seized a massive €5.3m worth of drugs in a significant operation which has also led to the arrest of one man.

The seizure took place in Stamullen, Co Meath on Thursday.

The search was planned and was co-ordinated by the Meath Divisional Drugs Unit.

A search was conducted at a house at Clinstown, Stamullen, at 2.45pm.

Garda members from Ashbourne Detective Unit assisted in the operation.

Garda dogs also assisted in seeking out the drugs haul on the property, land and in several vehicles.

In total 160kg of suspected cannabis herb, approx 30kg of suspected cocaine, and 2.5kg of suspected cannabis resin was seized.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene by and he is currently detained at Kells Garda Station.
