Gardaí have seized almost €3m worth of drugs following an operation in Dublin.

Officers from the elite Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau raided a suspected drug factory and recovered heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis yesterday.

Two men, aged 25 and 30, were arrested.

Gardaí had placed a taxi under surveillance as it delivered around 5kg of cannabis herb to a property on Alphonsus' Road in Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

In a follow-up raid, this property was searched by gardaí and more than €2.8m worth of drugs was recovered.
