Garda probe after discovery of female remains

A garda investigation is underway following the discovery of human remains in Co Galway.

It's believed the remains are female and are understood to be in a decomposed state.

The remains were discovered on Tuesday in Kilcolgan in Galway.

It's understood they were washed up from the sea.

Dental records are expected to be used in a bid to identify the remains.
