Gardaí investigate two armed robberies which took place within 20 minutes of each other
Investigations are underway into two armed robberies which occurred within 20 minutes of each other.
On Friday two separate EBS premises were targeted.
At 10.50am a man armed with what appeared to be a pistol demanded staff open the till at the premises on Main Street Blackrock.
However a staff member tried to disarm the man who then fled the scene empty handed.
Meanwhile, just 20 minutes later in the EBS premises on George's Street Lower, in Dun Laoghaire a male pointed a handgun at staff and demanded money.
A large sum of cash was stolen and the man then fled the scene on foot.
Garda investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made to date.
