Gardaí investigate robbery of cash box during delivery

Gardaí in Kells are investigating the robbery of a cash box from a security worker making a delivery to a bank in the County Meath town yesterday morning.

The incident happened outside the AIB branch on John Street at 10.50am.

Two men threatened the security worker with a claw hammer before escaping with one cash box.

There were no reports of injuries to the security man, and no arrested have been made yet.
