Garda hunt underway after masked men armed with bats rob cash from filling station

Two masked men armed with baseball bats have escaped with a quantity of cash after threatening staff in a west Dublin filling station.

The incident happened at the Applegreeen service station on the Clonsilla Road at around 5pm yestersday.

Staff say the two men, who had their faces covered, threatened them during the robbery.

They made off with a small sum of cash into a neighbouring estate where it is believed they then got into a black BMW 3 Series car and drove away.

There were no injuries during the robbery and no arrests have yet been made.
