FOUR people were rescued last night after their fishing trawler ran aground at the mouth of a harbour on the east coast.
The men were taken from the 60ft trawler by the crew of the Portaferry inshore lifeboat after their vessel became stuck in a dangerous location near Phennick Point in Co Down.
The Coast Guard helicopter stationed in Dublin was scrambled to help with the operation.
The men were rescued from the vessel shortly after 6.30pm yesterday and brought to Ardglass, Co Down, from where they were transferred to a waiting ambulance.
None of them suffered any injuries in the incident.
