Flying the flag for JFK celebration

FORMER US President John F Kennedy's visit to Ireland in 1963 represents one of the great events in our history.

Now plans are being made to mark the 50th anniversary of the occasion next year.

Pictured at Government Buildings yesterday where the commemorations were unveiled by Taoiseach Enda Kenny was Evelyn McCormack (4) from New Ross, Co Wexford.
