COMMUTERS from Donegal airport have faced travel disruptions as a lightening strike damaged some of the airport’s equipment.

The incident occurred shortly before this evening’s 5.15pm Dublin bound flight was due to depart.

That particular Flybe fight, as well as one incoming flight due from Dublin this evening and a morning departure for Dublin tomorrow, have been cancelled.

The airport is expected to remain closed until at least tomorrow morning.
