FitzPatrick released by gardai
Former Anglo Irish Bank chairman Sean FitzPatrick has been without charge after being questioned about alleged financial irregularities.
Shortly before 2pm this afternoon, FitzPatrick emerged from Bray Garda Station and was escorted by gardai through a media scrum to a waiting car.
The 61-year-old was arrested yesterday by members of the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation in a dawn raid on his home in Greystones, Co Wicklow.
FitzPatrick was held in Garda custody under Section 10 of the Criminal Justice Act 2001.
A file on the case has now been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
