Fishing dispute sees 100 fishery workers laid off
A dispute in Co Wexford has lead to over 100 fishery workers being laid off.
The crews of 15 large trawlers operated by the O'Flaherty brothers in Kilmore Quay are at the centre of the dispute.
The O'Flaherty brothers say the fault lies with the Government.
A meeting is due to take place later today in an attempt to sort through the issues.
Last year Seamus O'Flaherty gave away free fish to show that fishermen are not allowed to bring ashore certain species of fish.
Fishery protection officers will meet with the O'Flahertys today in Cork in an effort to resolve the dispute.
