First ferries arrive in Dover and Dublin under post-Brexit rules

The first ferries have arrived in Dublin and Dover under new trade rules between the UK and EU member states, following the end of the Brexit transition period. In Dublin, around a dozen freight trailers cleared the new checks required without delays. After 47 years as an EU member state, the UK has become a third country for trade purposes and customs declarations.
