FIRE services are battling a blaze at a house near Dublin’s city centre this morning.

The fire broke out at a building on the North Circular Road, Dublin 7, and was discovered shortly before 9am.

Gardai have closed off a section of the road at the junction of O'Deaveny Gardens and Infirmary Road.

There have been no reported injuries and a garda spokeswoman said the extent of the damage was not yet known.

Diversions are in place and motorists have been advised to use alternative routes.
