FF and FG hopefuls got poll cash
FIANNA Fail and Fine Gael received donations from property developers for their general election campaigns.
The latest documents show that an FF candidate in Cork got €500 from developer Owen O'Callaghan and his wife.
Fianna Fail's Daithi O Donnabhain, who ran in Cork North Central, said he had not hesitated to accept the €500 cheque from Mr O'Callaghan and his wife Rita.
Fine Gael councillor Derry Canty, who was running for election in the same constituency, got a €600 cheque from property developer Michael O'Flynn and another €600 cheque from his brother John O'Flynn. Their company, O'Flynn Construction, built the country's tallest building, the Elysian Tower in Cork city, which is largely empty.
