Fears growing over missing student (32)

FEARS are growing for the safety of a mature student who has not been seen in days, writes John Fallon.

Limerick native Ralph Ryan (32), a student at GMIT in Galway, has been missing since Thursday.

He was last seen in the Sea Road area of Galway on Thursday.

The Valentia Coast Guard helicopter and the RNLI Lifeboat searched Galway Bay yesterday.

Mr Ryan has been living in the Westside area of Galway city for the last 18 months. He is described as 5ft 11ins, approximately 13 stone, with short cut red hair. He usually wore dark coloured clothing.

Gardai at Mill Street, on 091 538000, have appealed for information.
