Family 'in limbo' over missing son
THE family of an Irishman missing in the aftermath of the Christchurch earthquake is still in "limbo" as recovery operations continue.
JJ O'Connor (40), originally from Abbeydorney, Co Kerry, was in the PGG building which collapsed. He worked as an accountant on the first floor.
"They should have reached the first floor either today or tomorrow where JJ was working, but a storm has been forecast for tomorrow which could hold things up," his uncle Denis O'Connor said yesterday.
The family has been in constant contact with Mr O'Connor's New Zealand-born wife, Sarah, who is being comforted by her parents.
