Failure in bid to divert rally

A man has failed in a court bid to limit the movement of the World Rally Championship around his house.

Ireland was given the honour of opening the championships in January.

But Dacre Leonard Munro, from Drumkeerin, Co Leitrim, pleaded with a judge to restrict the activity of the international event so he would be able to sleep.

The judge dismissed the application and said he was satisfied that the rally had taken all reasonable regard.
