former Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan was back among his ex-colleagues yesterday as he attended a Mass for deceased gardai.
Mr Callinan, who resigned from the force last March, has made few public appearances since.
However, he seemed at ease yesterday while honouring deceased members of An Garda Siochana at the Church of the Holy Family, at Aughrim Street in Dublin.
His replacement in the top post, Acting Commissioner Noirin O'Sullivan, was also in attendance along with rank-and-file officers.
Similar commemorations are held around the country - all of which are organised by serving and retired members of the force.
A full-time replacement for Mr Callinan is expected to be announced next month, with Ms O'Sullivan among those in the running.
