Even triplets can't agree

FAMILY allegiances were parked to one side as triplets Michael, Siobhan and Emma Crawley from Dundalk cast their ballot for the first time yesterday.

While Siobhan and Michael gave their vote of approval to the treaty, Emma used her ballot to send the government a message.

"I voted No. It's time for a change, they've been trying the same thing for the past five years," said Emma.

Our picture, by Niall Carson, shows presiding officers Finbarr McCabe and Barbara Crawley watching the triplets vote in the changing rooms of Sean O'Mahonys GAA Club in Dundalk, Co Louth.
