A COLLECTION of essays which critique the Irish political system and public administration were unveiled yesterday.
President Michael D Higgins launched the collection of essays entitled 'Towards a Flourishing Society'.
Among other topics, the essayists examine how the economy can serve society, how we can draw on Irish history and the experience of other countries for inspiration, and what institutional reform is required to deliver a 'Flourishing Society'.
Contributors include businessman John Fanning, Trinity College Dublin health policy lecturer Fergus O'Ferrall and researcher Philip Orr.
The essays are published by equality think tank Tasc, and are available on its website, tascnet.ie.
