Emilia says waxwork of Daenerys is 'scarily' like her brother
Actress Emilia Clarke has said the Dublin wax figure of her 'Game of Thrones' character is "frightening" - because it is so like her brother.
The star, who appeared on US chat show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', was asked by the host what she thought of the figure of Daenerys Targaryen in the Wax Museum, which was mocked by fans. But Emilia has defended the image.
"Here's the funny thing, if anyone wants to know what my brother actually looks like, it's that," Emilia said.
"He looks like that. I mean, that's him with mascara and a wig, legitimately it's frightening. I was like 'that is my brother'," she said.
A spokesperson for the museum said they were "delighted" with Emilia's comments. "We were completely surprised that she was shown our waxwork and she was an absolute star when she started talking about it.
"But we would also like to stress that we are an Irish museum and we are very proud of our Irish artwork and it is one sculptor that we are incredibly proud of."
A spokesperson said Clarke's character was chosen as she is "an inspiring character for women and for 'Game of Thrones' ties to Ireland".
Emilia also revealed that her brother actually also works behind the scenes on the legendary series - but often asks him not to stop by when she is filming sex scenes.
"He's in the camera department, which is brilliant, it's amazing, it's really nice," she said. "Yeah, so there are some days where he's like, 'Oh, I'll swing by', because he's in the next unit that's filming next door and I'll go, 'No it's good. I'm good, you can stay there. He's like, 'I just want to say hi, I haven't seen you in ages', and I'm like, 'No!'"
