Emergency services rush to the scene of two separate multi-car collisions on the same road

Emergency services were called to the scene of two multi-car collisions on the N25 Waterford/Cork road early this morning.

A five-car collision occurred at 7am on the N25 westbound between J3 Tullagreen and J2 Little Island.

A second multi-vehicle collision, believed to have involved up to six cars also occurred on the same road shortly after 7am.

Gardai were at the scene but the injuries are not yet known. They are not believed to be serious.

AA Roadwatch reported a third incident on the same road.

All three collisions have been cleared from the road but traffic is still slow in the area.

Also in Cork, emergency services have cleared a crash on the N72 Mallow/Killarney road at Ballymacquirke Cross.
