A BATTLE is looming between TV companies vying to screen debates between party leaders.
A series of debates involving leaders of the main parties has been proposed by broadcasters. Sky News has become the latest to enter the fray and has proposed a face-off between all five main parties.
TV3 said it had been in discussion with Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and Labour -- with a view to a "major national television debate". Traditionally, the main debate has taken place on RTE and has involved just the leaders of Fianna Fail and Fine Gael.
