OH dear. Fianna Fail's Johnny Brady had a 'Pee Flynn on the Late Late Moment' when he revealed at a question and answer session in Trim that he was struggling to survive on a €100,000-plus salary.
The Meath West candidate who has been in the Dail since 1997, informed the audience: "I didn't go into it for money. I'm nothing better off now than the day I went into the Dail. My wife asks me every month, 'when is the cheque coming -- the bank is very low'."
Mr Brady, who as chairman of the Oireachtas Agriculture Committee got an extra €20,000 on top of his €100,000 salary, along with €70,000 in expenses, wailed that he was "no better off" than when he earned £6 and 18p as a councillor in 1974.
If he continues to Pee on his skint electorate, he may be back on a councillor's salary soon.
