FINE Gael is still significantly ahead of the Labour Party in the race to lead the next Government.
And Fianna Fail is still lagging far behind in third place despite being led into the general election by Micheal Martin instead of Taoiseach Brian Cowen.
As the election campaign enters its third day, the latest Ipsos MRBI/Irish Times opinion poll shows Fine Gael at 33pc, which is a three-point increase on the last such poll in mid-December.
Labour is down one point to 24pc, while Fianna Fail is down two to 15pc. Sinn Fein is down to 12pc in the poll.
