Eugene, a farmer who lives in a cottage half-way between Ballinlough and Oldcastle, wants to give Fine Gael Meath East candidate Helen McEntee "an earful" on the state of GAA in the Royal county.
She's the niece of Meath All-Ireland legend Gerry McEntee and Eugene remembers his heyday "when men were men" and there were "Lads who would burst you if you’re coming through the middle."
“I’m not one f*****g bit happy..," he roars down the phone.
"Asked her ‘what in the name of Jaysus is going on at the minute," Eugene adds.
In case you hadn't guessed this is the latest election video backing a candidate and it's perhaps the funniest yet.
It stars comedian Rory O'Connor from Ashbourne and eventually gets around to saying that millions in sports grants that have been injected into Meath during the course of the last government.
“So youse are doing something after all, youse are?" a happy Eugene asks.
"I’m going to head off now – fierce busy – good chatting to you good luck," he signs off.
"You have to inject a bit of humour into things sometimes," McEntee tells Independent.ie of the video.
"I just asked him would he mind [making the video] because obviously the sporting aspect is a huge element for me," she said.
"There'd be a long line of sport in my family," she says recalling her uncles All-Ireland glory adding: "When men were men and they'd burst you."
