Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams has opened a new campaign office in Drogheda this morning.

Fellow Sinn Fein candidate Imelda Munster cut the ribbon just after 11am on West Street in the town centre.

"Myself and Imelda are looking to be elected here in Louth," he told supporters gathered on West St.

He accused Enda Kenny of "spoofing nonsense" over money they are going to allocate.

"Their figures don't add up," he added.

Ms Munster said: "This office is going to be a hive of activity over the next few weeks."

The two Sinn Fein candidates walked along West St greeting people.

Mr Adams will travel from Louth to Dublin later to canvas in Mulhuddart and Clondalkin.
