Listen: The Floating Voter Podcast 2
The second in the series of Independent.ie's political podcasts for Election 2016
The politicians in Leinster House were clearly getting itchy feet this week as the Dáil debate descended into accusations of ISIS links and single transferable rants.
So there was plenty for The Floating Voter team to discuss when they sat down in front of the microphones today.
Hosted by INM’s Group Political Editor Kevin Doyle the podcast asked whether Arthur Spring chickened out of naming Shane Ross’s ‘alleged crony’ and how Ruth Coppinger managed to accused a TD of being friends with Islamic State.
INM political correspondents Niall O’Connor and Philip Ryan are joined by Nicola Anderson to argue the value of gender quotas and if the constant bickering between Joan Burton and Mary Lou McDonald does a disservice to women in politics.
There’s also a look ahead to the Fine Gael Ard Fhéis and whether it will all be a bit of a let down for Enda Kenny after hanging out with global leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
And Jason Kennedy from independent.ie took a look through what had social media talking this week.
