Elderfield banks on New Order
HE was just a face in the crowd on the opening day of the Forbidden Fruit Music Festival at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, Dublin, on Saturday. But the man in the blue Corona baseball cap was one of the most powerful men in the Irish financial sector -- Deputy Governor of the Central Bank Matthew Elderfield, who has been part of the drive to tighten up regulation in the Irish financial sector.
Around 10,000 are expected to attend each day of the three-day event, which features Leftfield, New Order and Wilco as headliners.
The big names tonight include Dubliner James Vincent McMorrow, chamber pop act Beirut and Chicago rockers Wilco.
