EIGHT men who were arrested yesterday in a crackdown on dissident republican terror groups have had their times of detention extended today.
A loaded firearm was found in a follow up search of the commercial premises where they were arrested in Clondalkin, west Dublin. The gun has been sent for forensic examination by garda ballistic experts.
A further ten searches have been carried out as part of this on-going investigation.
The men, who range in age from their mid-20s to 50, are all suspected of being members of the New IRA Alliance.
