Trinity is only Irish college in global top 150
Trinity College Dublin is ranked 120th in a global graduate employability table, the only Irish university in the world's top 150.
The survey is based on the opinions of 7,000 recruitment and international managers from major businesses, canvassed by human resources firm Emerging.
Ireland's single representative in the Emerging Global University Employability Ranking, published by UK-based 'Times Higher Education Supplement', is put down to size.
Laurent Du Pasquier, managing partner at Emerging, said: "When you consider how many institutions Ireland has, that is not a bad performance at all."
US universities and Britain's University of Cambridge take the top five spots, although the report says the US and UK are struggling to keep pace in the face of a surge from South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore.
There are a number of international university rankings, based on different criteria.
Another company, QS, recently placed UCD 74th on its graduate employability scale.
